Walkin around the Zoo, on a thursday afternoon....

OK so once again, i am off by a day, but that is ok. Mentally i am already on Thursday. Why you might ask, well the BIG TRIP is upon us. That's right. I leave tomorrow night to head to California and Oregon for String Cheese Incident. IT isn't anything like Widespread Panic, but it is a good time also.
Jeff and I have been packing all week. Last weekend we put all of our festival gear (tent, blow up mattress- we are getting old) sleeping bags, shade tent(s), camp chairs, stove, food, snacks, camera gear (both video and stills) liquor(we aren't that old) and other sundries.
It all fit to our surprise, so we will only have our backpacks, pillows and coolers in the backseat. Plenty of room to put the seats back if we need to.

So, we are taking off tomorrow for the Utah/Wyoming border and finding a place to sleep, then the next day all the way to San Francisco. Saturday is the first show at the Greek. It will be my first time there and i am so excited. The Dead used to play this venue and i hear it is a magical place to see a show. Being from Denver, I see a ton of shows at Red Rocks, which holds some sreious beauty in it's own, so we will see. Sunday is the 2nd show. We also have late night tickets to see Disco Biscuits after the cheese show. Very excited. I have seen this band many times and always have a good time, but the past week, i caught them at the historical fox theater in Boulder and thought the show was just OK. I spent a lot of time with my friend heather at the bar making fun of all the children. It was an all ages show, so there were some kids there. But this one will be different from being on the road and all warmed up from two nights of cheese under our belts.

After these two shows we will slowly make our way up the coast of California to some small towns list Arcadia and Eureka. See some sights, sleep with some trees and eventually make our way to Portland and meet up with some friends. The Festival will be held at Horning Hideout outside of Portland. I have not been there yet, also, but very much looking forward to seeing the hard core family of cheese. As with the Greek theater, i have heard great things about this land and festival site. The first that i am really excited to see is the peacocks. I hear they have a bunch that just walk around the ground. A friend told me they sound like a girl getting hurt when they call, so that should be a lot of fun (hehehe)

That festival will be for four days, but three shows. The last being Sunday night. Then we will get in the car and bust ass back to Denver for work on Tuesday.

Last night i mowed the lawn for the week, but i will probably go over it again thursday to make sure it will stay low. The garden is about to OVER FLOW!! it will be great when we get back. We have a ton of tomatoes that are going to ripen nicely. the zuchini, squash and cucumbers are going NUTS and will be many to pick when we return. The carrots are a huge mass of green, we have pepers starting and an eggplant is getting going also.
Our beans need some more water and some help but i am willing to risk those to keep everything else going.

OK, well i will share some pictures when i get back and maybe a video or two.
Have a great 10 days and check back about the first of August for an update.
Until then, Panic on and cheese out!

S-A-TUR-DAY NIGHT!!!

OK so that is tomorrow, but i didn't want to use the "Thank God It's Friday" line again.
So, i am SSSOOOOO NOT wanting to work right now, so i am posting a blog. Perfect. So at work i basically listen to tapes, and type what i hear and/or see, if it is B-ROLL.
And i just decided that my ears were tired of listening and my brain was tired of thinking to my my hand which are tired, type. So i am just plane tired i guess.
Last night we baled on seeing a comedian. We are trying to save up cash for our BIG California, String Cheese Incident run.
Since Jeff works for a newspaper and I for a Television station, we are able to get press passes to some tourists spots that we want to see, but don't want to pay for (don't get us wrong, we are not cheap, we are frugle) So, i think we are going to line up a tour of the Seal Caves- or are they sea lions, i don't know, i guess i better go to learn.
A few years back, Jeff and i went from SF down to La, and along the way we saw a ton of what jeff called drift wood. We stopped along the coast to use the bathroom and there were a few people really looking at the drift wood as i entered the bathroom. Jeff always gets out before me and when i found him, he had joined the group looking at the wood. Well growing up on the water, i was more interested in getting back on the road. until he showed me that they were actually sea lions along the road side.. we took a bunch of pictures and then got on our way.
This trip we are going from SF to just outside of Portland. 10 days, 5 shows and a bunch of family...
So, aside from the sea lion caves, (or seals, but i think it is sea lions) then we wanted to see some light houses. We are researching for the best one to stop at.
Well, thats it for now... i am getting tired of typing this too...
HAPPY Devil's Day...Friday the 13th!!!!

Hey DJ, Bring that FUNKy track back

OK, so i was in a funk. just didn't have it in me to do much of anything last week. I was at the bottom of my energy trough. but I am back. Here is a Pitcure took from the 4th. My boyfriend and I went up to a mountain town called Black Hawk, and got up on the side of the mountain and watched the fireworks. You should be able to see the mountains, and the town.

More to come...I have to correct them in Photoshop...

Been a long time coming....

OK, i have to apologize for not entering anything in a while. I got myself into a funk i will explain later, but have come out the other side a little better than before, with some sun shining my way. In the mean time, check this out.. I am laughing so hard at this....
I love this song, very easy to sing along, but now i have some wonderful visuals to go with it..

Enjoy!!
