Too tired to fool you today.

The game yesterday (and I am talking about the Rockies here) was rained out and they are replaying it today. Thank goodness. They were down 1-5 at the top of the 3rd. so i am glad the rains came. Keeps us from having a bad first game.. but we will see what happens today. I can't understand why Francis chokes in big games. I mean he didn't do well yesterday and if you remember back at the first game of the World Series last year, he pitched and choked then too.. I don't think he would be my "big game' opener anymore.. But i don't play fantasy ball.

Think i am going to make some sort of chicken bake for dinner, but i don't have a recipe yet.. stuff surfing the web looking for something good.

My boyfriend spent about an hour last night making my pattern for the next quilt i am going to make. When we were talking about how big it was going to be I said i am not working on anything the size of a crib until i am knocked up.. so this one is going to be a big one again. But i think with a pattern and a plan it wont be as lop-sided as the other one. This one has the ability of actually being completed. I will start on it this weekend...

I wanted to point out that i loved it that pres. bush (all lower caps on purpose) got Boo'ed when he tossed out the first pitch yesterday.. totally funny.. love it..

Tonight started Hell's Kitchen, but we are not able to tape (tivo) it because Biggest Looser AND Big Brother are both on at the same time. So, this is where i am so happy the networks have given us the ability to download the shows we miss for free from their websites. I am excited to see what the twist is going to be on Hell's Kitchen. I wonder if they are going to do boys vs. girls again. Kinda lame, but i am not producing the show. But someday... some day my friends, someday...
That's about all my slow mind can take today. I don't think i slept very well last night and was really tired when i got up this morning and continue to be tired. Going to bed early tonight.. Might even watch the end of Biggest Looser in bed.. It is getting close to the end, and to be honest, I don't want any of they guys to win. I don't think they played the game really that fairly and were all about themselves the whole time. I think it was really sad the way they all ganged up on the girls last week. I was not sad to see the kid go.. I just wish one of the brothers would go and stay out... I would love to see the blond woman win, but i don't think she can beat that other chick, she is a rail now.. And in only 10 weeks.. amazing and very encouraging..(not that i am getting more physically active since i broke up with my gym)
Have a great tuesday..

Today is April Fool’s Day, a day to fool others, referred to as All Fool's Day in Poor Robin's Almanack in 1760.

Today is St. Stupid’s Day in San Francisco, featuring the annual St. Stupid’s Day Parade. (I Bet there are a lot of people in this parade)

Today is Boomer Bonus Day, a day for everyone over 50. Boomers don't like to celebrate birthdays, so today is a non-threatening celebration. (So, happy bonus day mom and dad)

The annual Pro-Am Snipe Hunt is today in Moultrie, Georgia, along with the Snipe Ball, celebrating the return of the Denim Snipe from the brink of extinction. (Ask Beth Gay about the Snipe Museum and the Snipe-O-Rama race track. (We used to go on snipe hunts when I was a kid at camp- I never caught one)

Today is National Hug Your Newsman Day, National Sourdough Bread Day, and Sorry Charlie Day. (Sorry Charlie)

1976: After Steve Jobs sold his Volkswagen and Steve Wozniak sold his programmable calculator, the two pooled their $1,350, created a computer circuit board in Jobs’ garage, and formed Apple Computer.

1985: Sports Illustrated carried a profile of a New York Mets wonderkid named Sidd Finch who could throw a baseball 168 miles an hour. Readers should have recognized an April Fool’s joke by the by-line: author George Plimpton, widely known for his hoaxes.

1990: It became illegal in Salem, Oregon, to be within two feet of a nude dancer.

1991: Doll doctor Cherie Gervais of San Rafael, California, closed her doll hospital after 18 years because of the rising cost of medical care. She continued to doctor dolls from her home.

1997: Russia’s Tass news agency reported that an alligator named Gena, hatched from a quail’s egg aboard the Mir space station, had bitten a U.S. astronaut. It was Tass’s best April Fool’s Day story.

1998: When a pit bull jumped a fence and attacked Bonnie, her German shepherd, 39-year-old Belinda Bechtold of Woodbridge, New Jersey, jumped in to save her dog. The pit bull finally let go of Bonnie’s neck when Belinda bit his ear as hard as she could. Bonnie had to have stitches, Belinda suffered scraped knees and a dislocated thumb.

2003: An ice cream maker in Fredonia, New York, introduced his newest flavor, suffering succotash. Scott Aldrich mixed corn and lima beans with vanilla ice cream and threw in pimentos for color. For more than 20 years, the Aldrich Beef and Ice Cream Parlor has made a bizarre flavor to honor April Fool's Day.
